NARA training-workshop on the topic "Media and Democracy, Lessons from Central Europe"

On October 27 at 10:00 a.m., the Prienai Justinas Marcinkevičius Public Library will host a NARA training workshop titled "Media and Democracy: Lessons from Central Europe."
The session will be led by lecturers Austėja Pūraitė and Indrė Kiršaitė.
Registration is required via email at [email protected] or by phone at +370 686 94675.
During the lecture and workshop, we will explore why high standards of media quality are essential for the survival of a free society. Drawing on lessons and emerging challenges from the Central European region—such as oligarchization and state takeovers of the media—we will analyze real-world examples and trends. We will also discuss how each of us can contribute to building information resilience.
