On October 9, marking European Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation, a chain of light, gratitude, and respect will stretch across Lithuania. The Lithuanian association "Gyvastis"—which unites organ transplant recipients and those awaiting transplants—is organizing its traditional candle-lighting initiative for the thirteenth time. Thousands of candles will be lit in cities and towns across the country to honor donors and their loved ones, who gave the priceless gift of life. Let us honor the donors on October 9 at 12:00 PM by lighting candles together in Prienai’s Laisvės Square.
