Conference dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the Veiver Teachers' Seminary

On October 15 at 4:00 PM, a conference marking the 160th anniversary of the Veiveriai Teachers' Seminary will be held in the assembly hall of the Veiveriai A. Kučingis branch of the Prienai Art School (Kauno St. 54, Veiveriai). We invite you to learn about the history of the Veiveriai Teachers' Seminary, the people who worked and studied there, and the institution's significance to Lithuanian education and cultural life.
Presentations will be given by:
*   Povilas Mikalauskas – Deputy Director and Chief Curator of Collections at the Lithuanian Museum of Education;
*   Rūta Bimbaitė – Teacher-expert at the A. Kučingis Art School, who has researched the seminary’s musical education and cultural life;
*   Rimantas Dovydaitis – Nephew of Pranas Dovydaitis (a signatory of the Act of Independence of Lithuania, Prime Minister, lawyer, and professor).
