10th Regional Amateur Theater Festival "Day at Pacų Palace"

On October 10 at 1:00 PM, the Jieznas Culture and Leisure Centre will host the 10th Regional Amateur Theatre Festival, "A Day at the Pacas Palace." This year, participants and audience members will be greeted by a mural painted on the walls of the Culture and Leisure Centre, created to commemorate the history of the Pacas family and the town of Jieznas. Artist Petras Lincevičius has evocatively depicted the town's historical symbolism and recreated details of the Pacas Manor—once known as the "Lithuanian Versailles"—making it well worth pausing to admire. To mark the anniversary, the hosts will serve a special "Manor Soup." The program includes:
Birštonas One-Farmstead Theatre (R. Blaumanis’s *Tailors’ Days in Silmači*, dir. Beata Krupskienė); Skaudvilė Culture Centre Amateur Theatre "Atodanga" (Z. Jurevičienė’s comedy *Apartment No. 7*, dir. Zita Jurevičienė);
Ramučiai Culture Centre Theatre "Siena" (a play based on Dario Fo’s *An Italian Theft*, dir. Hanna Šumilaitė);
Prienai Culture and Leisure Centre (Naujoji Ūta Leisure Hall) Amateur Theatre "Vėtrungė" (the play *The Matchmaking*, based on Julija Žemaitė, dir. Anelė Lukjančuk).
